Randy also participated in a joint program with NASA and the Canadian Aerospace Program to develop two medical experiments, which tested the effect of weightlessness on the inner ear and on the shutter speed of the eye for the U.S. space shuttle program.

Randy is the author of a health care patent application entitled "Method & System for Simulating Healthcare Data" (2003). In the 1990s, he engineered and authored "The ModelOffice® Methodology" (1996), the "EveryOffice® Toolkit" (1997), and the "ReachThrough® Methology" (1998) supporting large scale IT infrastructure and web application development for large enterprises. He is also the author of multiple IT and health care publications including "Order Entry/Result Reporting using HL7 in a CICS Environment" (1992) and "Ramp-up Pulse Controls using the 74LS77 D Latch Chip for Stepping Motors used in Robotic Arm Application" (1986).

Randy is an experienced entrepreneur, and has received multiple awards for the three successful IT businesses he has built and sold. Working as an entrepreneur himself, Randy understands from personal experience what his clients face on a daily basis when seeking to own and leverage their IP assets, and to operate their businesses in the most efficient manner possible.

Randy is also an inventor, a pilot, and a scuba diver. Before joining the IT industry, Randy received a degree from the Culinary Institute of America, and was an international chef for 6 years working for Paul Bocuse in Rio de Janiero, with Charles Berrier (trois etoile) in Tour, France, and in Canada and the United States. He speaks English, French, and Portuguese.
