Pam joined HBW as a Patent Agent in 2015. Pam has written and prosecuted patent applications in the fields of semiconductor fabrication, memory technologies, solar cell fabrication and operation, and software simulation.

A diligent researcher and excellent communicator, Pam is valued for strong analytical and writing skills. Pam enjoys working with inventors and digging into the details to figure out how to write their patents as broadly as possible.

Pam began her career writing software in digital image processing. As a technical writer, she wrote user, programming and system administrative manuals for image processing and software licensing. After working as a technical expert in patent litigation involving video special effects hardware, Pam passed the patent registration exam in 2002.

Pam worked in-house as a Patent Agent at Matrix Semiconductor and SanDisk (after SanDisk acquired Matrix Semiconductor). Following SanDisk, Pam worked as a Patent Agent at Vierra, Magen, Marcus & Deniro, an IP firm in San Francisco. She then moved in-house to Twin Creeks, a solar startup company.

Pam received a B.A. in Geology from Cornell University, Phi Beta Kappa. Pam also completed an M.F.A. in creative writing at the University of San Francisco.
