Jingyi is a Patent Engineer who joined HBW in 2015. Jingyi is focused on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, with an emphasis on semiconductor technologies. Jingyi's creative problem-solving skills have allowed her to deliver practical solutions throughout the patent prosecution process. She is dedicated to being responsive and to meeting deadlines. Clients and colleagues alike appreciate her commitment to diligence, high level of organization, attention to detail, and innate ability to analyze and understand new technologies quickly.

Prior to joining HBW, Jingyi worked with Macronix, a memory design and manufacturing company. Her day-to-day activities included obtaining patent protection, as well as matters related to litigation and dispute resolution involving patents. In addition to her in-depth experience in the semiconductor industry, Jingyi also worked with a flat panel display manufacturer. She was in charge of the liquid crystal cell design in the R&D Department for nearly five years, and then moved to the IP Department to prepare claim charts, patent maps, and due diligence for patent transactions.

Jingyi holds a B.S. and M.S. in Applied Chemistry from Chiao Tung University in Taiwan, and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from University of Washington in Seattle. Jingyi has been admitted to practice before the USPTO since 2014.
